summary
HAGS is queer fine dining at its finest; the weaving of high and low in tones of ivory, pink, oxblood and acid green. A safe space to be loved and lavished, HAGS honors and reflects the personalities and ambitions of its founders, Telly Justice and Camille Lindsley. Above all, we want them - and the guests they will welcome - to feel celebrated, with joy and abandon. As partners in and out of the restaurant, Telly and Camille will be spending more time together in this space than any other and it was a priority that our design of HAGS foster a continuation of their enjoyment of each other. The dining area is warm and enveloping, with elements of camp and glam sprinkled throughout. The bar, in a bright acid green, acts as a foil to the overall softness of the dining area. The kitchen, in a cloying pink, is joyously visible through a faceted mirrored corridor, which gives views of the open kitchen that distort reality and reflect guest, chefs and pink in a hazy montage scene.

“Sarah Carpenter has been a visionary as both architect and designer of our first restaurant. Her uncanny ability to see what a space can transform into is both detail oriented and considers the big picture overall feel and function.”
